  just saw the newsflash on cnn (10:30 est wed 30 dec 2009).

  seems he had serious chest pains while playing golf in hawaii and was rushed to the hospital.

  not sure where the "serious condition" part came from but that's what was reported.. even those of us who disagree with most of what he says wish him no harm and a speedy recovery.. however, when you are that full of shit, it takes a toll on your body.. rub a dub.

  My reasoning:

  Premise:

  1. Islamic countries see compromise and negotiation as a symptom of weakness
  2. Islamic countries do not respect weakness
  3. Islamic countries will ramp up terroist activity against those whom they do not respect

  Conclusion: we should not compromise and negotiate with Islamic terrorists

  Simple enough for you? And as I've mentioned, the middle east has been at war for hundreds of years. If ending it were as simple as baking them an apple pie and calling them good guys, the war would have ended long ago. You suffer from a utopian delusion that does not conform to reality.

  By your reasoning, no wars could ever end. They do. So you're wrong.

  Mine holds more weight because what I say is true and is supported by history. You're going to have to elaborate when you credit my reasoning with saying wars can not end. That is not what I've said, and I suspect yours is a typical liberal misconstruction of the issue and my point.

  The Islamic culture sees "negotiations" and "compromising" as a sign of weakness. That part of the world has been at war for hundreds of years. Kill one terrorist, make 100 new ones. Do nothing but compromise and negotiate, make 1000 new terrorists. The only thing that is respected is power. You may not like it, but that's the way it is. History has proven this point time and again.
